When I’m not behind the camera, I’m a full-time wife, mom, and scientist. I conduct pre-clinical research on ways to prevent and reverse drug overdose. Most of my free time is spent with my whiskey-collecting husband, free-spirited daughter, and our two gentle giants – a 10-year-old cane corso and 7-year-old great dane.
It is so easy to get caught up in day-to-day life and put off protecting the special moments between big events and sweet stages of our little ones’ childhood. The things we regret as adults tend to be missed opportunities and you never want that to be photos that will last generations. One thing that we don’t have on our side is time. It breaks my heart that I have no family photos with my parents and siblings from my childhood and, since having my own child, I realize just how important documenting our ever-changing lives can be. It’s imperative that we treasure these moments so that future generations can look back at our story and find inspiration in the loving glances between their grandparents, the pride on their mother’s face as a new graduate, or the candid, joyful smile they had as a child just being in their parents’ arms.
